K-CO Electricwas approached by a sizable General Contracting firm on the East coast in early 2017 to take part in the bidding on the mentioned project. K-Co worked closely with the GC to try to help the project meet budget. Late Spring of 2017 K-Co was awarded the task of wiring the 125 rooms, generator, conference room, library, gym and lobby of the Southington Courtyard Marriott.

PROVIDING A PLEASANT STAY

A COMPLETE ELECTRICAL PROJECT FOR COURTYARD MARRIOTT

The project started in early fall of 2017 for K-Co with general layout and slabbing of underground for the future mechanical rooms throughout the building. The project had some difficult design setbacks early on and K-CO Electric worked the electrical part out with the general contractor and the owner. K-CO Electric found that as with most projects, the overview of the building on the prints is not always complete and resolved issues accordingly. K-Co took pride in working with the general contractor and owner directly and solved the unforeseen by approaching the town and working with the building department to meet all requirements that may have been delaying to the CO requirements in the end.

Awards & Accomplishments: The project came in on time and on budget with hard work and determination from all parties and achieving Certificate of Occupancy early November 2018. Working with the GC and owner with the towns inspectors/building department as a team, K-CO Electricwith 23 years of business holds true to its commitment of excellence. The Southington Courtyard Marriot has received a National Award of Completion within the franchise.
